From Mexico City International Airport (AICM — MEX)

  • Estrella Roja bus runs directly from AICM (Zone D, next to International Arrivals) to Puebla. Journey: ~2.5 hours. Buses run approximately hourly. Check the updated timetable at estrellaroja.com.mx.
  • Buses arrive at Paseo Destino station in Puebla. From there take an official Taxi Ejecutivo to INAOE. Journey: ~30 min.
  • If driving, take the Puebla cuota (toll road) east from Mexico City. Once in Puebla, head toward Cholula (8 km west), then Tonantzintla (5 km south).

From CAPU (Puebla Central Bus Station)

  • Take an official "Taxi Seguro" (yellow and white) from CAPU directly to INAOE. Journey: ~30 min. Ask for "INAOE en Tonantzintla" or "El Antiguo Observatorio".

From Puebla International Airport (PBC)

  • The Huejotzingo/Hermanos Serdán airport is served by Volaris, Viva Aerobus, and United Airlines (from Houston IAH).
  • Use the Transportes Terrestres taxi stand at the airport. Fare to Puebla or Cholula: ~300 MXN.
